Iran, Iraq sign cultural agreement



IRNA -(Tue Mar 26, 2013) Iranian and Iraqi ministers of culture have inked an agreement on expansion of bilateral cooperation in cultural and cinematic fields.

The signing ceremony was held during the visit to Iraq of Iran’s Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Mohammad Hosseini which took place at the invitation of Iraqi Minister of Youth and Sports Jasim Muhammad Jafar.
During his stay, Hosseini met his Iraqi counterpart Sadun Farhan al-Dulaymi and Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Ali Muhammad al-Adib as well as Head of the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council Ammar al-Hakim.
He also conferred with a number of Iraqi Ulema on the issues of religion, culture and art.
In his meetings, Hosseini stressed the importance of further expansion of cultural relations among Muslim nations in order to solve problems facing the world of Islam.
