Resistance, sole path for nations to achieve victory: Iran president
Press TV - ( Feb 7, 2013) Iran President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says nations can only achieve victory through unity, patience and resistance against their enemies.
Ahmadinejad made the remark in a meeting with his Sudanese counterpart Omar al-Bashir on the sidelines of the 12th summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in the Egyptian capital city, Cairo, on Wednesday.
He added that enemies will be weakened day by day as the result of the nations’ resistance, and this will change the situation to the benefit of nations.
Ahmadinejad also described the relations between Iran and Sudan as profound and brotherly, adding that the two nations have common enemies.
The Iranian president stressed the importance of promoting ties between Tehran and Khartoum in different economic, cultural and political areas.
“By realizing all the existing capacities, [we] should increase cooperation day by day to the benefit of the two nations [of Iran and Sudan], and all nations,” he pointed out.
The Sudanese president, for his part, described the Tehran-Khartoum relations as excellent, adding that the main reason for such strong ties is that the two countries’ relations are based on Islamic values.
Bashir also stated that Iran and Sudan have many commonalities and face the same enemy, stressing that the two countries should develop cooperation at different bilateral and international levels.
